About the event...

 

The 2017 event will be held on 22nd March 2017 at Newcastle Law School and celebrates iconic and influential black, Asian and minority ethnic women of the law. It aims to inspire the next generation of women and men by bringing together seven high-achieving and diverse women who will speak about their experiences of working in and with the law. The speakers have a range of backgrounds including in the NGOs, charities, academia, and, of course, the legal profession. The event is part of Freedom City 2017, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the award to Dr Martin Luther King of an honorary law degree from Newcastle University.
