Brenda Campbell is a leading criminal law and inquest barrister. Brenda is regularly instructed in high profile and complex criminal cases or to act on behalf of vulnerable defendants. She has a particular interest in the representation of women and children. Between 2013 and 2016, Brenda was part of a team of counsel who represented the families of 77 of those who died in the Hillsborough Stadium Disaster. Brenda has also worked extensively in the field of human rights, both nationally and internationally, with a focus on women’s rights, children’s rights and the rule of law. She has developed and delivered training and workshops across the world, including in Afganistan, Iraqi Kurdistan, South Eastern Turkey, Nairobi, New York and Geneva.
